About Edithvale Scout Group

Error message

1st Edithvale Scout Group is located on the corner on Fifth and Sixth Avenue in Aspendale, within Regents Park. We became 1st Edithvale when 2 older groups in the same area joined to become one after one of the halls burnt down.

The then 5th Chelsea and 6th Chelsea Scout halls were on opposite sides of Regents park. One where the current scout hall stands and the other on the other side of the now Oval where the score board now stands.

1st Edithvale is one of the oldest Groups in the area with it history going back to 5th and 6th Chelsea Scout Groups

Edithvale adopted the 5th Chelsea Scarf, and fundrasing was done to build a new hall when the last standing hall nearly suffered the same fate as the other.

Luckly it was saved and was moved to Nyora Scout Park (Bell Park) and attached to other halls there to make a grand hall, bunk rooms, fire lounge and dinning room with kitchen. Edithvale hads all sections of scouting including Joeys, Cubs, Scouts, Ventures and Rovers.
